Located in the vibrant urban heart of Guangzhou’s Zhengjia Huanshi Center,Gwen Jane Hotel, a premium select-service brand under the Junting Hotel Group, is rooted in Eastern culture. Blending traditional heritage with contemporary aesthetics, it creates a secluded sanctuary where travelers can find a sense of inner tranquility amid the bustle of the city.

“观涧”之名取自明代诗人萧光绪《雨馀观涧》，寓意在纷繁世界中，感悟内心的平静与清澈，正如品牌所倡导的“观涧变，悟心常”。酒店英文名“GWEN JANE”亦承载独特意涵，源自澳大利亚诗人Gwen Harwood与美国社会活动家Jane Addams，二者代表智慧、诗意与包容，契合品牌文化精神。  

The name “Guanjian” is inspired by Viewing the Mountain Stream After Rain (Yǔ Yú Guān Jiàn) by the Ming Dynasty poet Xiao Guangxu, embodying the idea of discovering inner calmness and clarity amid the complexities of the world. This philosophy is encapsulated in the brand’s ethos: “Observe the changing stream, realize the constant heart.”

The hotel’s English name, GWEN JANE, carries its own distinctive meaning. It draws inspiration from Australian poet Gwen Harwood and American social reformer Jane Addams, whose legacies represent wisdom, poetry, and inclusiveness. Together, these values resonate deeply with the cultural spirit and humanistic vision of the brand.

建筑原为空置商场，改造后因结构异形、楼层差异，三层空间各具特色。设计团队以“东方静谧”为主线，突破采光不足等难题，融入水纹、年轮、石头等山涧意象，传递自然气息，唤醒内心感知。    

Originally a vacant shopping mall, the building was transformed into a hotel despite the challenges posed by its irregular structure and varying floor configurations, resulting in three distinctively characterized levels. Guided by the concept of “Oriental Tranquility,” the design team overcame constraints such as limited natural light and thoughtfully incorporated imagery inspired by mountain streams—including rippling water patterns, tree rings, and natural stones. These elements evoke the essence of nature, creating a serene atmosphere that reconnects guests with their inner senses and emotions.

大堂汲取中国书房意象，开放式接待台打破主宾界限，高耸中式屏风、艺术品与广州在地文化相映成趣。墙面金漆画卷由美院艺术家创作，描绘中山纪念堂、粤剧馆等地标，融传统描金工艺与现代设计，提升大堂文化气质。前台巨型红色屏风采用金属红漆材质，形态源于古书折本，寓意书房意境，成为空间中强烈的视觉与品牌记忆点。

The lobby takes inspiration from a traditional Chinese study, where an open reception desk creates a warm and welcoming arrival experience. Chinese-style screens, curated artworks, and local cultural references together reflect the spirit of Guangzhou.A gilded mural by academy-trained artists depicts iconic landmarks such as the Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall and the Guangdong Cantonese Opera Art Museum, blending traditional gold-painting craftsmanship with contemporary design to enrich the lobby’s cultural character.A monumental red lacquered screen behind the reception desk, inspired by the folded pages of ancient books, evokes the atmosphere of a Chinese study and serves as a memorable visual icon of the hotel.

商务休闲区以高书柜墙与长书桌营造书房氛围，让客人在此等候、阅读、办公，感受松弛与专注。餐厅、健身房与社交区整合为“早茶夜酒”双功能空间，满足多元需求，亦令旅人在快节奏城市中享得片刻宁静。

The lounge area is designed as a contemporary study, featuring floor-to-ceiling bookshelves and a long communal table that invites guests to wait, read, or work in a relaxed yet focused setting.

The restaurant, fitness center, and social spaces are integrated into a versatile “Morning Tea, Evening Bar” concept, seamlessly adapting to different needs throughout the day. Together, they offer a tranquil retreat where travelers can unwind amid the rhythm of the city.

客房延续“现代雅致”风格，浅灰墙面与白纱营造轻盈“虚”境，辅以深色桌案、皮质座椅勾勒“实”感，虚实相生。原木、织物、金属等材质传递自然温度，家具布局清晰分区，简约线条演绎东方美学，令每一次停驻皆富仪式感。空间流动中弥漫宁静愉悦，将“自然质感与现代美学融合，借一物一画营造意境”的理念，转化为可感居住体验。  

The guestrooms continue the theme of modern elegance, where soft grey walls and sheer white drapery create a light, ethereal atmosphere, balanced by dark-toned furnishings and leather accents that add depth and presence.
